In honor of National Poetry Month, I am sharing one of my poems. I would love to have others share their own poetry, too.
Crocus
The lovely color of the crocus
stirs me from sleep.
Petals chill from frosty winds as
snowdrifts shade early sunshine.
Rain arrives and awakens us,
Daffodils bud, thick with gold.
Hues of brightness christen others,
Still quiet in their beds.
